NEW PRODUCT!!! $2.00 OFF for a LIMITED TIME

This
AMAZING bundle is so versatile, you can’t live without it! There are 72 picture
cards available in color and black/white.
Picture cards are also available with words printed underneath in ALL
CAPS and all lowercase letters, which makes them useful for preschool as well
as the early elementary years. There are
also 72 other word
cards (verbs, prepositions and adjectives) included. Word cards are color-coded but also available
in black/white (and in upper/lowercase sets).
There are 15 fill-in-the-blank sentence strips and
sentence starters as well as 4 additional blank sentence strips available!!! A
NO-PRINT activity with multiple choice question prompts and individual/group data sheets are also included in this
irresistible bundle!
So
how many different ways can you use these materials? A LOT!!! Here are some
examples of how I used them in therapy:
qFor students working with assistive
technology (with dynamic displays), I have been using these sentences strip set
to have students practice finding new vocabulary on their devices and
sequencing the sentences. Because the
“word finder” on the program my students are using has a basic QWERTY keyboard,
I use the word and picture cards that have ALL CAPS so my younger students can
match the letters independently as they search for words. This has been an amazing tool to help my
students with assistive technology generalize their skills and become more
independent when using their devices outside of therapy
qI have several students who have
significant difficulty answering basic “what” and “where” questions. So I have been providing them with multiple
choice picture responses (as you have seen in some of my other products. For students
who are working on answering questions and using sentences – use the picture
cards to create a multiple-choice picture response set (4-6 pictures). After you ask the question, have the student
place the picture card (and other word cards as necessary) on the sentence
strip and say the sentence about the target picture (e.g. What can you eat? –I
eat the apple).
qFor students working on word
relationships, this bundle offers a fantastic array of pictured items that can
help student practice associations, categorization/exclusion and
comparing/contrasting. There are
sentence starters to help student organize their response when explain how
items go together and/or differ from one another.
qUse these cards for writing
supports for students who struggle to form a sentence. The word cards can be used in conjunction
with the picture cards to have students practice sequencing parts of a sentence
first then transfer it to writing. The
picture cards and NO-PRINT activity can also be used as writing prompts to help
students who need visual to help them come up with sentences.

Stop, Swap and Roll

I had
the pleasure of being paired with Amy from 180 Days of Reading for this blog
swap and I could be more excited! She was
kind enough to send me her Spelling and Word Work Bundle, which offers decoding
and spelling practice for a variety of decoding patterns.

Ultimate Bundle |
More
than 30 skills are covered with this bundle! Each skill has 5 print and play
engaging activities that kids LOVE! And
as a speech therapist I love that many of these activities can ALSO be used to
address articulation and vocabulary skills!!!

During
speech therapy sessions, I was able to use many of the activities from this
bundle to practice speech sounds my students are working on while reinforcing
decoding. For the students who have
language goals, I used these games to work on vocabulary development and
grammar/syntax. For example, with the
Roll, Read and Write activity, I had students roll the die and use the word in
a sentence and or describe/define. We
also used the Roll, Read and Write board to come up with associated words and
details about each word. This is
critical for developing word retrieval and language processing skills for my
students.
Because
we are so excited about using this bundle in a variety of ways (as a spec ed
teacher and speech therapist), Amy is giving away her Spelling and Word Work
UNLIMITED Bundle! Enter the Rafflecopter below for a chance to win!
